# Signing your API Request

For every request made to our system, it is essential that each request is signed. This verification process ensures the authenticity of the request source and confirms the legitimacy of the response origin.

Calculating the signature is **only** necessary when utilising our **REST API integration**. Signature calculation is automatically performed in all SDK integrations.
